In research performed by the Public Oversight Body for Accountants (POB), a significant
proportion of UK limited company accounts fail to comply with disclosure requirements.
Their study covered large and small companies, and covered accounts submitted
by all sizes and nature of firms. Similar research conducted by CCAB bodies arrived
at the same conclusion. As a result of this the CCAB bodies have given POB an
undertaking that they will endeavour to rectify the situation. This
innovative course will use a set of pro-forma accounts to remind participants
of the various, at times complex, disclosure requirements that SME's need to abide
by. The course
will cover: | o | Accountants/Audit
Reports. |
| o | Profit
and loss account. |
| o | Other
disclosure requirements including other primary statements and notes. |
